On December 8, 2015, Mary F. Platt, Esquire, Counsel at Fineman Krekstein & Harris, P.C. in Philadelphia, was elected by members of the Philadelphia Bar Association to Vice Chancellor of the Bar Association. Ms. Platt will serve as Vice Chancellor next year and Chancellor-Elect in 2017, and will lead the Philadelphia Bar Association as Chancellor in 2018.
Ms. Platt has been an attorney for over 35 years, and focuses her practice on litigation and alternative dispute resolution. She has represented clients ranging from global companies to individuals and closely-held businesses in class actions and individual cases involving a wide variety of practice areas. She has handled matters for clients involving business disputes, antitrust claims, intellectual property, restrictive covenants, trade secret misappropriation, consumer protection and unfair competition claims, employment claims, real estate and environmental issues, insurance coverage, construction disputes, toxic tort and product liability claims, and attorney malpractice claims.
Ms. Platt resides in Newtown Square, PA. She is currently Assistant Treasurer of the Philadelphia Bar Association and as an officer, serves on its Board of Governors and in the Chancellor’s Cabinet. She has held several other leadership positions at the Philadelphia Bar Association, including Treasurer, elected member of the Board of Governors, chair of the Law Practice Management Division, and chair of the Federal Courts, City Policy and Women in Profession Committees. She also is a Zone 1 Delegate to the House of Delegates of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
