James A. Rosenstein (Retired)

James Rosenstein serves in an Of Counsel role at the firm after a long career as a transactional lawyer at Wolf Block where he focused on complex real estate projects, including the development of planned communities, multi-use properties and affordable housing.

He now combines his real estate practice with advising clients regarding their participation in mediations of complex multi-party commercial disputes (often involving governmental bodies, non-profits and for-profits) or other forms of collaborative problem-solving, as well as serving as the mediator or facilitator in these types of matters.  He has written and spoken extensively on various legal, negotiation and mediation topics.

Rosenstein is currently Immediate Past-President of the Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR). In Pennsylvania, he chairs the Government and Public Policy Subcommittee of the S.R. 160 Advisory Committee to the Joint State Government Commission and is a Board member of the Pennsylvania Council of Mediators (PCM). Among his prior conflict resolution leadership positions, he was the first President of the Greater Delaware Valley Chapter of ACR, co-chair of the ADR Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association, and co-chair of the Commercial Sector of the Society of Professionals in Dispute Resolution.
