Joshua B. Horvitz

As an associate in the firm’s litigation and real estate practices, Joshua Horvitz regularly represents property owners, community associations and commercial enterprises.  He often consults and negotiates with public officials regarding corporate and regulatory issues such as business taxes, zoning, tax assessments and code violations, and frequently appears before local regulatory agencies and tribunals in connection with these matters.  Joshua also acts as Associate General Counsel to many large and medium-sized condominium associations throughout the greater Philadelphia area. 

Prior to joining the firm, Joshua served as a law clerk to the Honorable Judges Rizzo, Carrafiello, Dych and Glazer of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas in the Motions Court Program of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, where he handled appellate-level review of zoning, tax, liquor and other regulatory actions and managed emergency petitions and injunctions. 
 

Experience

• Appeared before county tax assessment boards and obtained significant decreases in tax assessments on behalf of large commercial property owners.
